Lesson 4 Bible _Short Story Shepherding Material ,
Can you eat candy with your EYES ?
(2 Timothy 3:16)
All Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching,
for conviction, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,
A 2-year-old boy's mouth was seriously injured and couldn't eat candy ,
but he desired a lot to eat candy,
so he tried to eat candy by desperately looking at the candy locked in the cabinet with his eyes.
But the more he looked, the less he could eat.
He wept a lot, and his mom comforted him by saying ,
"You can't eat candy with your eyes because the eyes are not the right organ to eat candy."
When your mouth gets well , I'll buy you a lot of your favorite candy,
so you can eat candy by using your mouth as the proper organ."
Then the boy stopped weeping.
In the same principle, if we read the Bible with our mind from the perspective of science,
knowledge, and self-improvement , we are reading the Bible with the wrong organ,
just like a boy trying to eat candy with his eyes,
which prevents the light of God's revelation in the Bible from entering into our hearts.
We as man have 3 parts - (spirit, soul, body).
The body is to understand material things.
The soul is to understand psychological things.
We must exercise our "spirit" as the proper organ
to understand God and to receive the things of God in the Bible.
The so-called " exercising spirit" to read the Bible
is to believe and accept the Bible with your true & whole heart,
instead of thinking and doubting the Bible.
The things of God in the Bible can be divided into the 9 following major themes:
1. God and God's plan for man
2. Where man comes from and where he goes, and his creation and destiny.
3. Christ
4. The Holy Spirit
5. The Divine life
6. Believers in Christ
7. Church
8. Kingdom of God
9. New heaven and new earth.
If we seek the truth and desire to know the meaning of our human life,
we need to read the Bible and call,
"O Lord Jesus." God has given each person a "spirit"
as the proper organ to understand to receive the above things of God.
May we see Jesus Christ in our spirit and gain God as life more by reading the Bible.

第四課 聖經
用眼睛吃糖果,吃得到嗎？
(提後 3:16 )聖經都是神的呼出，對於教訓、督責、改正、在義上的教導，都是有益的，
某2歲小男孩因嘴巴嚴重受傷,
暫時不能吃糖果,但他突然很想吃糖果,
他就拼命地想用眼睛來看鎖在櫃中的糖果,
他越看越流口水卻吃不到,
他就大哭,後來媽媽就安慰他說
『你不能用眼睛去吃糖果,因為眼睛是"錯誤的"器官來吃糖果",
等你嘴傷好起來,我一定買給你很多你最愛的糖果,
你就可用嘴巴來作"正確的"器官來吃並享受糖果了。』小男孩這才不哭了。
同樣的原則,我們若用頭腦的心思,
以科學,知識,修行角度去讀聖經,
我們就是用錯器官來讀聖經,
就如同小男孩想用眼睛去吃糖果,
這就使神在聖經中的啟示亮光就不能進到我們心眼。
我們人有三部分-(靈,魂,身體)
身體是明白物質上的事物,
魂是明白精神上,屬心理的事物,
我們必須用"靈"才是"正確的"器官去明白神,
接受聖經裡之神的事。
所謂"用靈"讀聖經就是用你的真心去相信及全心接受聖經,
而不是一直思考懷疑聖經。
聖經中神的事,可分為以下九大主題。
1)神和神對人的計畫
2)人從哪裡來及往哪裡去及人的被造和定命
3)基督
4)聖靈
5)神聖的生命
6)在基督裡的信徒,
7)召會,
8)神的國度
9)新天新地
我們若尋求真理,願意知道人生命的意義,
就需要讀聖經並且呼求"哦,主耶穌"。
神已經給每人一個靈
作正確的器官來明白和接受以上神的事,
盼我們藉著讀聖經來與耶穌基督相遇,
展開充實豐碩的人生。
