Lesson 16 Facing Suffering, ,Such as Persecution.
1 Peter 4:14 If you are reproached in the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you.
A God-loving daughter named Mary often was mistreated by her mother just because of her keeping of attending church meetings. One day, Mary was beaten and scolded by her mother for attending church meeting again.Mary didn't resist, and after being beaten, Mary returned to the room quietly. Her mother overheard her prayer, her mom didn't expect that Mary was actually blessing her mother in prayer. Mary's livng out God by blessing and praying for her mom really touched her mom's heart and made her mom believe into the Lord Jesus. Only those who have God's life can live out God to bless the one who mistreated him or her.
【It is blessed to suffer in the name of the Lord】
When we believe and baptize into the name of Christ, we are one with Christ. When we are reproached in His name, we "suffer with Christ ", "participating" in His suffering, so that the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon (is lived out by) us.
【The more you suffer for God, the more we are benefited by it.】
God uses suffering to test our faith in God. For example, the final exam in school is also a kind of suffering and trial, but this kind of trial is actually helpful to students. Without final exams, students may become lazy in their studies. But when they face final exams, they study with great diligence and concentration. Therefore, the final exam is to benefit students greatly in their studies.
Likewise, we're in a "heavenly school." The "principal" of this heavenly school is our Lord Jesus. He also for us sovereignly arranges trials as spiritual final exams which benefit us a lot. Trials are indeed a benefit to our perfection in the practice of the Bible, because God uses trials to perfect us to be one with God and to live out God.
【Opponents glorify God in the days of God's favor】
1 Peter 2:12 told us that among the Gentiles, as they see your living out God with their own eyes, glorify God in the day of God's visitation. Likewise, some people mistreat us today, but if we still live out God and let others see God lived out by us. When they see that we are living out God in the midst of suffering, they will realize that we are really under visitation of God's presence. In the end, when they see God lived out by us in trials, they glorify God.
【Opponents change their attitudes due to changes in our lives】
For example, although many saints' parents are against them, but meanwhile they're also carefully observing their children. They discover that the God who their children believe has greatly changed their children. Eventually, their parents have a complete change in attitude because the spiritual beauty of Christ lived out by their children also attracted their parents to believe in the Lord and live the church life together !!!

她竟為苦待她的人祝福禱告!
彼前 4:14 你們若在基督的名裏受辱駡，便是有福的，因為榮耀的靈，就是神的靈，安息在你們身上。
一個名叫瑪麗的愛主的女兒經常受到母親的苦待，只因為瑪麗經常去教會聚會。 有一天，她再次參加教會聚會，又被媽媽打罵。瑪麗沒有反抗，被打後，瑪麗安靜地回到了房間。 她的母親偷聽她的禱告，她母親沒想到瑪麗竟然真的在禱告中祝福她的母親。 因著瑪麗為媽媽祝福禱告"把神活出來了"，就大大感動了她媽媽，使她媽媽也信了主耶穌。 因為只有擁有"神"生命的人才能如此"“活出神"“來為苦待她的人來祝福禱告。
【 在主名受苦是有福的】
當我們信入及浸入基督的名裏，就與基督是一。當我們在祂的名裏受辱駡，他們就"“與祂同受“"辱駡，"有分於"祂的苦難,使我們越有神的榮耀的靈安息(=居住,活出)在我們身上。
【 越為神受苦,受逼迫,就越對我們大有益處】
神藉著苦難來考驗我們的對神信心,例如,學校的期末考也是一種苦難及試煉，但是這種試煉實際上對學生是有幫助的。學校若沒有期末考，那麼學生在課業方面可能會掉以輕心。但是當他們面對期末考，他們就會極其殷勤、聚精會神來讀書。因此，期末考是幫助學生在學習上大得益處。
同樣,我們也在『屬天的學校』裏。這所屬天學校的『校長』是主耶穌，祂也為我們主宰安排了各種試煉如期末考都對我們有益。試煉對我們在聖經實行上的完全，的確是一種益處，因為神使用試煉來成全我們來與神是一,活出神。
【反對者在神眷顧的日子榮耀神】
彼前2：12『我們在外邦人中，若有佳美的品行，他們至終會在眷顧的日子，為着我們榮耀神』。同樣,現今有人錯待我們,但我們若仍活出神的佳美品行的生活,讓別人在我們身上看到神，當他們察看我們在苦難中居然活出神時，他們就會領悟我們真的是有神的同在之眷顧之下。至終的結果，他們看見我們,他們就看見神而榮耀神。
【反對者因我們生命的變化而改變態度】
例如很多聖徒的父母雖一面反對他們，但同時也仔細觀察自己的孩子。他們觀察並發現到他們裡面真的有神,而且也看見他們孩子所信的神也真的改變了他們的孩子, 至終，父母就在態度上有完全的轉變，因為他們孩子所活出之基督的美麗也吸引了他們父母來信主,一同過召會生活。
