Lesson 9 Christ's Redemption
John 5:15
I am the vine; you are the branches. He who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit; for apart from Me, you can do nothing.
Adam's two sons both offered sacrifices to worship God, his eldest , Cain , chose to offer vegetables from his own efforts to worship God, and the second, Abel, chose according to God's revelation to offer slaughtered lamb to worship God . As a result, God was only pleased with Abel's slaughtered lamb. Why was God only pleased with what Abel offered?
God's way of redemption is through death.
According to the Bible (Hebrews 9:22), "Without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness of sins." God first judges, and then forgives, and in order to please God, there must be bloodshed; that is, death is required. Any method that does not require death cannot meet the standard requirements of God's righteousness.
Christ is the Lamb who died for us. When Christ (like the slaughtered lamb) was crucified on the cross, He was judged by God, not for His own sins, but for the sins of all mankind.
The blood of Christ speaks and gives peace. The Bible (Hebrews 12:24) says that the blood of Christ speaks for us as a lawyer's defending for us as defendant in a court before God. Through the Lord's blood, God is appeased (Romans 5:9) because the demands of God's righteousness have been satisfied. When God is at peace, our conscience is at peace. Those who believe in Christ's redemption are cleansed, justified, forgiven, spotless and undefiled in God's eyes. Only those who apply the Lord's blood in this way are well pleasing to God
Application:
When we want to please God in everything or help others with good intentions, we will also face two choices:
We shouldn't make Cain's choie to rely on our own limited intelligence, ability, self-improvement, or by right or wrong principles to please God or help people with good intentions. In fact, by not following God’s way and wisdom, the more you help, the more you will often get into troubles.
We should make Abel’s choice, like the death of a lamb, by stopping our limited intelligence, ability, good deeds and good intentions, but only by completely relying on God. Only by God, we can overcome everything and gain God’s redemption in reality.

第九課 基督的救贖
我是葡萄樹，你們是枝子；住在我裏面的，我也住在他裏面，這人就多結果子；因為離了我，你們就不能作甚麼。 約 15:5
亞當的兩個兒子都獻祭物來敬拜神,老大叫該隱照自己選擇來獻上靠自己努力所得來的蔬菜去敬拜神,老二叫亞伯照神的啟示為選擇而獻上被宰殺之羔羊去敬拜神,結果,神只喜悅亞伯所獻上被宰殺之羔羊。為什麼神只喜悅亞伯所獻上的呢?
神救贖的辦法是藉著死
照著聖經(來9:22)說，『沒有流血，就沒有赦罪。』神先審判,後神才赦免,才能討神喜悅，必須有流血；亦即需要死。任何一種不用死的辦法，都不能達到神公義的標準要求。
基督是替死的羊羔
當基督(如被宰殺的羔羊)被釘死在十字架上時，祂被神審判，不是為自己的罪，乃是為了全人類的罪來流血而死。
基督的血為人說話，並給人平安
聖經(來12:24)說，-基督的血為我們說話，如同律師在法庭為被告辯護一樣。藉這血,神得平息（羅五 9）因祂公義的要求已得著了滿足。當神平息，我們的良心也就平安了。相信基督救贖的人
在神眼中是蒙潔淨、被稱義、得赦免的，無瑕疵、無玷污的。這樣來應用主的血的人,才討神喜悅
生活應用-當我們凡事想討神的喜悅或好心想幫助別人時,也會面對兩個選擇,
我們不要作該隱的選擇,靠自己有限的聰明,能力,自我改善,或按照對或錯,好或壞原則來好心地討神的喜悅或幫助人。其實若沒有照著神作方法及智慧,常是越幫,越惹出麻煩。
我們應該作亞伯的選擇,如羔羊之死般來停下自己有限聰明,努力,好心,只完全倚靠神,我們惟有靠著神,才勝過一切,得著神的救贖的實際。
